A Mother's Day Tribute - Lifetime TV Movie; The Real MVP: The Wanda Pratt Story ~ by Pmccray

Wanda Pratt and her son Kevin
On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8, the Lifetime Television Network will pay homage to not only single mothers, but all mothers who sacrifice daily, and tirelessly give all in the raising of their offspring.

Kevin Durant

"Mama Durant" as she is sometimes lovingly called, was juxtaposed into the limelight in 2014 during her son, Kevin's, heartfelt emotional MVP acceptance speech. To publicly receive so much love, that in itself is an honor for any mother, but the movie is icing on the cake.

Ms. Pratt is the mother of two sons, Tony and Kevin Durant, parted one television interview with some very sound advice for all mothers:

"My advice is to never give up, to always put your children first, to always commit yourself to their dreams, their aspirations and their goals even when it gets hard,'' Pratt said. "When you have those lonely nights when you're crying to yourself, just remember that it's for them, and they will get that, they will receive that. I've realized that's what children really want. They want to know that their parents are 100 percent behind them, and they'll give you everything that you expect."

Again, the movie premieres on the Lifetime Television Network, Sunday, May 8, starring Cassandra Freeman in the lead and produced by Queen Latifah. Please check your local listings for exact channel and air times.
